Our school uses TERC Investigations for our math curriculum. In fourth grade, students begin with a unit on multiplication and division. Much of the first unit is a review from Grade 3 - looking at arrays, factors, and multiples. Students will have two more units on multiplication and division during the school year. I have included two important (and fun!) links from our math curriculum. The first has activities for math vocabulary and ideas practice. The other has computer versions of the games we play in class. Both are excellent to ways to provide extra practice and support!
Students are asked to continue practicing math facts learned in previous years. There are many fun math games that you can play with your child at home. I have included a link that shows how to play Multiplication War, one of many fun math fact fluency games! |
