I believe that students should have time to explore, play games with family and friends, and take time for themselves after a busy school day. In fourth grade, students will also have math homework from our math curriculum. This is a great way for you to see what your child is working on during school. If you see your child struggle, please write a little note on the assignment so I know it was difficult. Students will also participate in a 30 book challenge this year. They will be asked to read 30 books by the end of the school year. These books will be across genres as we want to encourage variety. The books used in this challenge are counted from what we read during the school day as well as at home. Please provide time for reading each night for your child!
Students record their homework in an agenda book each day that goes back and forth from school. Please check-in with your child to make sure they are recording and completing homework assignments, but keep in mind it is their responsibility to complete their work and return it to school.
